Sustainability Visualization at Proseed Hub
An immersive interactive installation developed at SECTOR4 INTERACTIVE for Esyasoft’s Proseed Sustainability Hub — merging multi-display Unity application architecture across 6 displays (4K to 1080p), tactile SLA 3D-printed miniature city models, synchronized LED projection mapping, and centralized touch controls to visualize smart energy grids.
Project Overview & Vision
The Sustainability Visualization at Proseed Hub is an innovative experience center installation designed and engineered by SECTOR4 INTERACTIVE for Esyasoft. Positioned in the Proseed Sustainability Hub, this installation merges cutting-edge display engineering, tactile 3D architectural modeling, and real-time synchronized media to create an engaging educational environment focused on smart energy systems, renewable grid management, and urban carbon footprint reduction.
Instead of passive video loops or static poster boards, the installation transforms complex utility data into an interactive playground. Visitors can explore diverse urban energy scenarios, manipulate power grids through a centralized touch interface, and watch as live energy flows illuminate a 3D-printed translucent city while corresponding metrics and analytics cascade across a massive 4K video wall.
Four Integrated Installation Elements
The installation seamlessly connects four distinct physical and digital components into a single, cohesive interactive narrative:
1. 4K Multi-Touch Video Wall
A bezel-free, multi-touch video wall displaying real-time power generation data, grid stability analytics, and citywide sustainability metrics with interactive scenario drill-downs.
2. Interactive Tabletop City
A translucent 3D-printed miniature city positioned over a synchronized high-density LED matrix that traces power paths, transmission lines, and grid efficiency in vibrant illumination.
3. Hexagonal Sidewall Displays
Custom-built hexagonal ambient LED panels mounted on adjacent walls that dynamically visualize Esyasoft’s IoT infrastructure, sensor node health, and localized distribution clusters.
4. Central Touch Interface
A unified command console for attendees to initiate synchronized scenario playback, compare green energy adoption models, and test urban sustainability interventions.
Technical Implementation & System Architecture
As the Unity 3D & Interactive Developer on the project, I contributed across the entire interactive software pipeline — from multi-display graphics rendering to hardware networking and 3D fabrication:
Multi-Display Unity Architecture
Developed a single unified Unity3D runtime configured to drive 6 independent displays spanning 4K and 1080p resolutions simultaneously, maintaining a locked 60 FPS across all outputs.
Centralized Playback & Event Routing
Engineered low-latency network event messaging connecting the central touch console to the main video wall and tabletop LED controller, ensuring frame-accurate cue synchronization.
SLA 3D Modeling & Printing
Optimized and fabricated architectural city replicas using SLA 3D printing with custom light-diffusing PLA resin, creating optimal optical clarity for under-table LED illumination.
Dynamic Shaders & Data Mapping
Programmed procedural shaders that transform raw energy metrics into pulsating particle streams, circuit line traces, and reactive heatmaps reflecting real-world utility consumption patterns.
The Visitor Experience Flow
-
01
Scenario Selection at Command Console
Visitors approach the central touch interface and select a real-world energy scenario — such as Solar Peak Generation, Industrial Demand Spike, or Grid Fault Recovery.
-
02
Synchronized Multi-Screen Cue
In an instant, all 6 displays react simultaneously: the 4K video wall animates system telemetry, while hexagonal wall arrays reflect real-time IoT node activations across city sectors.
-
03
3D Tabletop Physical Light Mapping
The translucent miniature city glows with reactive lighting beneath the surface, tracing power routing from renewable solar/wind plants directly into residential and commercial microgrids.
-
04
Interactive Touch Exploration & Impact Metrics
Attendees can touch specific zones on the main video wall to drill down into localized carbon offset data, efficiency benchmarks, and sustainable urban planning insights.
Exhibition Impact & Results
The installation achieved landmark success for Esyasoft's Proseed Sustainability Hub:
Enhanced User Engagement
Achieved a 78% longer dwell time compared to conventional static exhibits, with 63% of visitors thoroughly exploring all interactive sustainability scenarios.
Esyasoft Mission Alignment
Directly advanced UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 7: Affordable & Clean Energy, SDG 13: Climate Action) by translating complex utility engineering into clear, accessible visual narratives.
